Landscape & Garden Design

Good design starts with how you actually use the space — where you sit in the evening, where the dog runs, which corner never drains. We map sunlight, slope and existing planting before proposing anything, then put together a layout you can build in stages rather than all at once. You get a plan to work from, whether we install it or you do.

Yard Cleanup & Maintenance

This is the work that stops a property from drifting. Leaves off the lawn before they smother it, beds cut back at the right time of year, debris hauled away rather than piled behind the shed. We schedule it around the seasons so the big cleanup happens before it becomes a rescue job.

Trimming & Beautification

Shrubs and hedges respond to how they are cut, and the wrong cut costs you a season of growth. We prune to the plant's natural shape rather than shearing everything into boxes, keep sight lines clear along paths and windows, and take hedges back to a crisp, even line where that is what the property calls for.

Mulch & Beauty Bark

A fresh layer of bark does more than finish a bed off — it holds moisture through dry spells, keeps soil temperature steadier, and makes a real difference to how many weeds you pull. We clear and edge the beds first so the depth is even and nothing is buried that should not be, then top them up to the right thickness.

Sod Installation

Sod only performs as well as the ground under it. We strip the old surface, work and level the soil, correct the grade so water runs away from the house, and lay fresh cut turf tight at the seams. Adequate watering in the first few weeks decides the outcome — we tell you exactly what it needs and when.

Artificial Turf

For a stretch of yard that never gets enough sun, or a surface that has to stay presentable without weekly attention, artificial turf is worth a serious look. It is set over a compacted, free-draining base with the seams worked in properly — the difference between a surface that reads as grass and one that reads as carpet is almost entirely in the base.

Low-Maintenance & Water-Wise Landscaping

If you would rather spend your weekends somewhere other than the yard, the planting scheme is the lever. We favour drought-tolerant and native species suited to Puget Sound, group them by water need so irrigation can be zoned properly, and use groundcover to crowd weeds out. Less mowing, less watering, less fuss.

Tree Removal & Site Prep

Sometimes a tree is in the wrong place, damaged, or simply outgrown its spot. We remove and clear it safely, grind or remove the stump, and prepare the ground so whatever comes next — turf, beds or a hardscape — starts on a clean, workable surface rather than on top of old roots.

Sprinkler & Irrigation Installation

An irrigation system earns its keep by putting water where the roots are, not on the path and the fence. We zone the system by plant type and sun exposure, set the heads for even coverage, and fit a controller you can actually adjust yourself when the season changes.

Before we quote anything, we look at how it connects to everything else — where the water goes, what the fence line does to the beds, whether the new planting will need irrigation later. When several jobs are related we can combine them into one organised scope, with a single crew, one sequence and one tidy site instead of three separate visits.

Landscaping & maintenance FAQ

Can I book a one-off visit, or do you only do ongoing contracts?

Both. Plenty of clients start with a single cleanup or a one-time trim and decide from there. If you do want a regular schedule — weekly, fortnightly or monthly — we can set that up, and the per-visit price typically improves because we are not re-learning the property every time.

How often should a property like mine be maintained?

It depends far more on how much planting you have than on the size of the lot. A mostly-lawn property with few beds usually does well on a monthly visit with two bigger seasonal cleanups. Heavily planted gardens, or properties with a lot of hedge, generally need fortnightly attention during the growing season. We will tell you honestly which category yours falls into.

Do you handle both the design and the installation?

Yes. We can put together a design and build it, or design it so you can install it in stages over a few seasons. If you already have a plan from someone else, we are happy to quote from that instead.

What happens to the green waste you remove?

It leaves with us. Brush, leaves, prunings, old sod and removed soil are hauled away and disposed of or recycled properly, so nothing is left stacked at the side of the property or burned on site.
